- News: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the provisions of the Trust Agreement by and between the San Bernardino Joint Powers Financing Authority (the Authority) and the Treasurer of the State of California (the Treasurer) under which the above-captioned bonds (the Bonds) were issued that the Treasurer has acquired and holds in an irrevocable escrow fund established by the Escrow Agreement, dated as of November 15, 2016 (the Escrow Agreement) by and between the Authority and the Treasurer, cash sufficient to provide for the payment of the principal and interest on the Bonds identified below (the Defeased Bonds). The mandatory sinking account payment due on the Defeased Bonds on December 1, 2016 will be paid as scheduled and the remaining principal amount of the Defeased Bonds will be redeemed prior to their stated maturity date on January 1, 2017 at the redemption price of 100% (expressed as a percentage of the principal amount of the Defeased Bonds), plus accrued interest thereon to the date fixed for redemption. The Defeased Bonds are deemed to have been paid in accordance with Section 9.01 of the Trust Agreement and will be entitled to payment solely out of the moneys on deposit in the aforementioned escrow fund and, except as set forth in Section 9.01 of the Trust Agreement, all obligations of the Authority under the Trust Agreement with respect to the Defeased Bonds have been discharged and satisfied.
