- News: This Notice of Occurrence of Listed Event (the Notice) has been prepared to satisfy the obligations of the City of Colton (the City), pursuant to Section 4 and Section 2 (e) of the Continuing Disclosure Certificate dated December 19, 1996 (the Disclosure Agreement), executed by the City and Willdan Financial Services, as Dissemination Agent, in connection with the execution and delivery of the Public Financing Authority (the Authority) $6,215,000 of Special Tax Revenue Bonds, Series 1996 (the Revenue Bonds or PFA 1996). The Revenue Bonds were issued to enable the Authority to purchase the City of Colton Community Facilities District (the CFD) No. 87-1 Special Tax Refunding Bonds, the City of Colton CFD No. 88-1 Special Tax Refunding Bonds and the City of Colton CFD No. 89-1 Special Tax Refunding Bonds (collectively the Refunding Local Obligation Bonds) which were issued concurrently with the Revenue Bonds and the requirements of Rule 15c2-12 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended. The following information is being provided as required by the Disclosure Agreement in order to comply with the Citys obligation to notify owners of the Bonds, the participating underwriters, and the repository of the occurrence of a Listed Event. Accordingly, the reporting obligation in regards to the Revenue Bonds has been defeased and terminated in accordance with Section 4 and Section 2 (e) of the Continuing Disclosure Certificate. On September 1, 2017, $435,000 principal amount of the outstanding Bonds were redeemed early prior to final maturity of September 1, 2019. The corresponding Refunding Local Obligations CFD 89-1 were also redeemed on September 1, 2017. The remaining corresponding Refunding Local Obligations CFD 88-1 and 87-1 were also redeemed prior to maturity on September 1, 2014 and September 1, 2015 respectively.
