- News: On June 20, 2016, the City of Las Vegas, Nevada (the City) discovered that due to a clerical error it failed to timely make a June 1, 2016 sinking fund principal payment in the amount of $425,000 on its City of Las Vegas, Nevada, Special Improvement District No. 809 (Summerlin Area) Local Improvement Bonds, Series 2003. There were sufficient funds on hand to make the required sinking fund principal payment on June 1, and the interest payment due June 1 was paid when due. The error was made with respect to the amount of principal due under the sinking fund requirement, and as soon as the error in this amount was discovered, the City began taking steps to correct the error and make the payment. The City made the payment on June 23, 2016. The City intends to retain a paying agent on the District 809 Bonds to assist it in correctly calculating future sinking fund payments.
