- News: S&P Global Ratings lowered its long-term rating on the city of Jackson, Tenn.`s series 2015 and series 2008 health care revenue bonds issued for Jackson-Madison County General Hospital (JMCGH) to `A` from `A+`. S&P Global Ratings also assigned its `A` rating to JMCGH`s $62.7 million tax-exempt series 2018A and $90.9 million taxable series 2018B health care revenue refunding bonds. Jackson-Madison County General Hospital does business as West Tennessee Healthcare (WTH). The outlook on all series of debt is stable. ""The lower rating reflects our view of WTH`s weaker financial profile following the acquisition of the Tennova West assets of Community Health System in West Tennessee,"" said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Stephen Infranco.
