On January 17, 2018, Moodys Investors Service (Moodys) downgraded its financial strength ratings on National Public Finance Guaranty (NPFG), formerly known as MBIA Insurance Corp., from A3 to Baa2. The Bonds are insured by NPFG. Moodys does not maintain an underlying rating on the Bonds. As a consequence, the rating of the Bonds was downgraded to Baa2. - News: The Arcadia Unified School District hereby provides notice of a significant event regarding a rating change to the Arcadia Unified School District (County of Los Angeles, California) 1993 Election General Obligation Bonds, Series C (the Bonds). On December 5, 2017, Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) downgraded the insurance financial strength rating from AA+ to AA on National Public Finance Guarantee Corp. (NPFG), a sub sidiary of MBIA Inc., assigned a Negative Outlook and subsequently withdrew the rating for business reasons. The Bonds are insured by NPFG.
