- News: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 23, 2018, S&P Global Ratings (S&P) raised its long-term rating to AA+ from AA on the City of Oceanside Californias Series 2015 Pension Obligation Refunding Bonds. The rating was raised based on a surveillance review of the citys non ad-valorem debt with application of revised ratings criteria as outlined in S&Ps Issue Credit Ratings Linked to U.S. Public Finance Obligors Creditworthiness, as published by S & P Global Ratings on January 22, 2018. The S&P Ratings Direct Report titled Various U.S. Local Government Obligors Non Ad-Valorem Debt Upgraded One Notch Following Criteria Application is included in this report as published. This Reporting of Significant Event has been prepared to satisfy the obligations of the City of Oceanside (the Issuer) pursuant to The Continuing Disclosure Agreement, dated August 1, 2015 (the 2015 Disclosure Agreement), by and between the City of Oceanside (the City)and the Bank of New York Mellon Trust company, N. A. ( the Dissemination Agent), in connection with the issuance of the Citys $32,020,000 Taxable Pension Obligation Bonds Series 2015 (the Bonds). The Bonds have been delivered pursuant to a Trust Agreement dated as of August 1, 2005, by and between the City and The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A., as trustee, (the Trustee) as supplemented by a First Supplemental Trust Agreement, dated as of August 1, 2015 (as supplemented, the Trust Agreement). As provided in Section 5 of the Disclosure Agreement, this Reporting of Significant Event is being prepared for publication with the Electronic Municipal Market Access, a service of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board.
