- News: Notice is hereby given to the holders of the outstanding Development Authority of Monroe County (Georgia) Pollution Control Revenue Bonds (Georgia Power Company Plant Scherer Project), First Series 2009 (the Bonds), that the interest rate determination method applicable to the Bonds will be changed from the current Weekly Rate. The effective date of the new rate is June 22, 2017 (the Effective Date). The Bonds are subject to mandatory tender for purchase on the Effective Date and interest will cease to accrue on such date as provided in the Bonds. The purchase price will be 100% of the principal amount of the Bonds plus interest accrued to, but not including, the Effective Date. In the case of a failed conversion, the interest rate determination method will automatically be converted to a Weekly Rate, and the Bonds will continue to be subject to mandatory tender on the Effective Date.
